College football season is quickly approaching, and there are a lot of schools who are thirsty for the opportunity to fix their shortcomings from 2023. Below are three different schools with my projected win total, as well as the odds they hit that mark on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Iowa: 11 Wins

After having another dominant defensive season, paired with what would be a pathetic display on offense, Iowa is still poised to be in the mix in 2024. Their biggest challenge this season will be Ohio State, and that game will occur in Columbus on October 5th. If Iowa manages to get there 5-0, even a loss to Ohio State will still leave enough runway for a realistic shot at 11 wins. Iowa suffered losses to Michigan, Minnesota and Penn State during the Regular Season in 2023, and only see a rematch against Minnesota on their docket for 2024. If they lose in Columbus, and win out, the Hawkeyes and 11 wins can be the reality.

Miami (FL): 10 Wins

The Hurricanes have a schedule that can go a lot of different ways, but in my opinion, the path to 10 regular season wins is clear. 10 wins will give them 2 losses, and one may occur at the start of the season. The ‘Canes play Florida on August 31st, and they will see them on the road. A loss there, coupled with a loss to their other instate rival, Florida State, will put them at 10 wins, if they can take care of business elsewhere. Miami would need to avenge some 2023 losses if they want to see that record occur, specifically to Georgia Tech and Louisville, who Miami managed to lose to at home last season.

Notre Dame: 11 Wins

There is no Ohio State on the schedule this season, the program that has stuck them with their first loss in each of the last two seasons. If ND can pull a win out of their opening match with Texas A&M, they may not be truly tested again until they face Florida State in early November. They did drop a game to Louisville last season also, and they do catch them at home this time around. This may not be the dominant force that Notre Dame has been in the past, but with a schedule that does not have any major pre-season juggernauts, 11 wins, or more, is on the table.
