The former Raiders Quarterback has one year under his belt in New Orleans. What can we expect from him in 2024? Below are my predictions for Derek Carr during this upcoming season.

1.) Passing Yard Prediction: 4250 Yards

Carr has a career high of 4,804 passing yards, which he accomplished in 2021. In his first season with the Saints, Carr threw for 3,878 yards. With a medley of talented receivers across the field, and the benefit of playing indoors for at least half the season, anything is possible. It is not out of the question that the 32-year-old, who says he is at 100% health entering the season, can have an improved sophomore season in New Orleans.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Carr is +700 to throw for 4,000+ yards

2.) Passing Touchdowns Prediction: 30 Touchdowns

With a top target like Chris Olave, Carr can rest assured that he will have at least one star option to throw to in 2024. Rashid Shaheed is a real boom or bust option, but he has tremendous speed and upside potential in the upcoming season. Kamara is still chugging along in New Orleans, and he has been known to catch a touchdown or two in his career. Also, with tight ends Juwan Johnson and Taysom Hill (if you want to call him that), there is really talent all over the field for Carr to throw TDs too in 2024.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Carr is +1200 to throw for 30+ Touchdowns

3.) Can Derek Carr Win MVP?

Realistically, I do not know if the stars can align for this to really happen. But who knows? To win the MVP, a lot needs to go right for not only Carr, but the Saints as a whole. Health needs to be on their side, as well as improved play from all of his weapons. Carr has had some impressive seasons and has finished top-3 in the NFL in MVP voting before. If he is truly healthy, and the Saints really play out of their minds in 2024, maybe he is among the finalists come voting time.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Carr is +15000 to win NFL MVP
