The battle of the National League titans continues at the Bank. With the Phillies routing LA in game one behind a dominant start by Zack Wheeler, the Dodgers hope to even it up behind Gavin Stone. Stone, who is 9-2 with a 3.03 ERA so far in 2024, has been a great back of the rotation arm for Los Angeles. Opposing him is Cristopher Sanchez, the 27 year old lefty. Sanchez has also had a great start to 2024, posting a 2.96 ERA over 97 innings.

Bryce Harper is 2-2 in his career against Gavin Stone, while also drawing a walk. He will look to add to his perfect resume against the Dodgers’ young starter. Harper is currently listed on DraftKings Sportsbook at +290 to hit a Home Run today.
Shohei Ohtani has been on a tear as of late, homering 14 times in his last 30 games. His power pace has slowed a bit though, as he has only gone deep twice in his last 7. I would not be surprised to see Show-Time send one out against the Phillies lefty, as Ohtani has managed to hit 7 bombs when facing southpaws. Ohtani’s next home run will be number 200 in his career. Prediction:
A beautiful, Wednesday summer night in Philadelphia, PA will be a close game, but may skew LA’s way. I would not be surprised to see a few home runs from either side, with Los Angeles coming out on top 6 to 5.
