It is a beautiful Friday night throughout the United States, and when the air is warm and the skies are clear, it is a great day for home runs.
Christian Yelich, MIL: +450 to hit a Home Run against the Chicago Cubs
Yelich does not have the same power that he did in his MVP season in 2018, but that does not mean he is not a threat to connect with one every now and then. He is having a monster season so far, hitting .325 with a .892 OPS, which are both higher than his career averages. He has had a lot of success against the Cubs starter Jameson Taillon, homering twice with a 1.061 OPS in 26 At Bats. He has only homered once in June but has been making great contact and getting on base as often as the league leaders.
Bobby Witt Jr., KC: +310 to hit a Home Run against the Cleveland Guardians
Witt Jr. is emerging as one of the best young stars in the game and is a huge reason why the Royals have been competitive in a season that many did not assume they would be. With 12 homers this season, Witt will have to pick up his power numbers if he wants to match or exceed his 30-home run mark from 2023. He has struggled over the last 7 days, hitting just .160. He may be able to break out of it against Guardians’ pitcher Triston McKenzie, especially since he has managed to homer twice off of him in 12 at-bats.
Riley Greene, DET: +290 to hit a Home Run against the Los Angeles Angels
Greene has 15 home runs so far in 2024, including 6 in his last 30 games. He already has more home runs this season than in 2022 and 2023, with less games played. The Angels send out Zach Plesac, who has an ERA north of 8.00 in two starts. He has never faced Greene, and after today, he may wish he never had.
Doubling Down: Riley Greene 2+ Home Run Game +2200 or 22 to 1.
